While Ms. Voss is always happy to see Liam (she's fond of all her Computer Science students!), her mood becomes visibly more somber when he turns the conversation toward the topic of her deceased friends.

She agrees to answer some of his questions, but steers away from the more personal ones (apparently her conversation with Justice had been the exception rather than the rule) and requests that he not print anything about them for the time being. It doesn't feel right to her when there are still four of them in the Shadow World. She won't stop him or voice her concerns to Mr. Bhattacharya, but it's clear that the notion makes her uncomfortable.

With regard to the questions, she provides him the following answers:

Did you all meet at once or did the group come together slowly?

The group came together gradually as they awakened to their power and found each other. Ms. Voss recalls that, at the time, it had felt like fate.

Luther and Helena had been the first to come into their powers and had been on their own for a while. They discovered Philip's abilities while saving the boy's father from a Shadow and recruited him to the team shortly thereafter. Similar circumstances brought Isabelle and Zachary into the fold. Ms. Voss herself had been fifth and, after having a Support, identifying the others had become much easier.

Joss was the only one that had approached them, saying that he'd seen something special about them in the cards and hanging around until he was able to figure out what that was. Ms. Voss says that he really had seemed to have some kind of Sight.

Were they all born in Haling Cove?

No. Several of them were, including herself, Joss, Zachary, Haley, Philip, and Isabelle, but not all of them. Helena and Luther were born in Portland, where their father's business was started and still had an office, only moving to the smaller town with their mother when they were in elementary school. Sammy and Julianna also spent their childhoods outside of Haling Cove.

What were their tarot cards? & What were their personas like? What elements did they fight with?

Unlike the current Wildcards, Luther's arcana from the beginning had been The Fool and he'd started manifesting multiple Personas and arcanas early on. By the time Ms. Voss joined the group, he had more than a dozen and she'd never been cetain which of them was the original.

Helena's arcana was The Moon, she fought with air magic, and her Persona was a hooded figure with glowing eyes perched within a stone carving of a crescent moon and armed with a golden oar that made her perch resemble a peculiar gondola.

Philip's arcana was Justice, he fought with ice magic, and his Persona was a knight with elaborately detailed armor, a blade plunged into its visor, and a large sword with a chain attached to the hilt.

Sammy's arcana was The Sun, he fought with fire magic, and his Persona was a griffon with fiery wings and a flame-tipped tail with an iron figure perched atop its back wearing gold and red. Among the group, he was the only one with healing abilities.

Isabelle's arcana was The Chariot, she fought with air magic, and her Person was a vibrant pop art Valkyrie armed with two huge blades.

Zachary's arcana was The Emperor, he fought with thunder magic, and his Persona was a hulking figure composed of gray clouds and almost entirely concealed in the armor of a gladiator. It had no legs, but instead floated in the air, and was armed with a big hammer.

Julianna's arcana was The Magician, she fought with lightning magic, and her Persona was a maiden made of shimmering glass shards that constantly shifted but always formed the same shape with flowing hair and a willowy figure. It was armed with a bow and arrow.

Haley's arcana was The Hierophant, she fought with fire magic, and her Persona was a huge golem made of black stone covered with carvings and cracks that had been filled with gold (making it look like a piece of kintsugi pottery).

Joss's arcana was The Star, he fought with water magic, and his Persona was a harpy-like creature with feathered legs, taloned feet, and huge wings with the coloration and markings of a peacock and a face hidden behind a white mask with a long beak.

Did the group have......a particularly traumatic run in with a snake or something?

This...just confuses Ms. Voss. She tilts her head a little at him. They definitely never had a traumatic run-in with a snake.
