While each Persona in the book is surrounded by shining golden text that is presumably quite informative, it's all written in arcane characters that Neal has never seen. There are, however, a few notes written along the bottoms of the pages in dark ink. The handwriting looks like Lenore's.

Under a Persona with blue skin, an array of curved horns atop its head, and ice growing out of its body like armor, the notes read: USE THUNDER, NOT FIRE. IT WILL NOT MELT BUT IT WILL BREAK. IT IS QUICKER THAN IT LOOKS. IT WILL TRY TO MAKE YOU AFRAID. DO NOT BE AFRAID.

Under a Persona made of floating sections of stone held together with energy and jumping bolts of electricity, the notes read: IT IS STRONG. MAKE IT WEAK AND REMOVE ITS DEFENSES. USE WIND AND WATER TOGETHER.

Under a Persona that resembles a large, eyeless white wolf with vibrant stones floating around its face, the notes read: THE COLORS OF THE GEMS WILL CHANGE AND SO WILL ITS MAGIC. WATCH THEM. IT IS BLIND BUT IT CAN STILL HEAR AND SMELL YOU. BE CAUTIOUS.
