When Neal and Venus return to the occult shop on Tuesday evening, Moira greets them looking a bit haggard but earnestly glad to see them. She turns the shop sign to closed before joining them near the counter. She explains that she once had a customer that sounds like the boy they saw and that she sold him that scrying crystal. She remembers because of the colors and the imperfect cut and how much Joss Coburn -- the boy that had bought it -- had loved both.
She goes on to talk about the boy fondly, saying that he was bright and charismatic and the son of a local reverend that scoffed at his interest in the mystical. In the last that few months she knew him, though, he seemed to be carrying a heavy burden. And then he and several of his friends just up and left town back in 1993 and none of them ever returned. She says that she never quite believed this and that she doesn't want to scare them...but she wonders now if they saw Joss' ghost. She tells them that they shouldn't be afraid of him, though, because he was always a dear boy.
