Despite Gregory's diligent effort, none of these investigation methods give him any leads. The deliverer of the flower and poem (and bug) remain a mystery!

When Gregory and Dakota go to see Mr. Nash, he welcomes them and pats the dog on the head warmly. It doesn't look like he's allergic to dogs, at least! When asked about the cookie recipe, he tells Gregory that he's happy to give it to him or to show him how to make them sometime, whatever he prefers!

When quizzed about the dance, he admits that he doesn't have a date and doesn't intend on chaperoning. Nervously laughing, he adds that such events are a bit much for him. When asked for a quote about Russell Reeve 'for the paper', he looks sheepish to be put on the spot but says that he's a confident young man with a lot of potential and a natural leader. He also notes that he's always very helpful in his class, though he's heard from other staff that this is not universal.
